Chris and his sister Carine McCandless had a very close relationship, even when he struggled to connect with others. Write about a relationship in your life where you feel truly understood. Explain what makes that relationship strong and how it compares to the connection between Chris and Carine in Into the Wild.

For me, my relationship with my cousin Hutson is like this. Ever since we were just kids, we've always been more like brothers. I used to spend weeks at his house when I was on the outs with my parents, and I was able to confide in him during these tough times. This is similar to how Chris and Carine share their tribulations ecspessially with their family between each other. Today in class, we read some of the book and did a comprehension worksheet. This will prepare me for the upcoming test on the book.
